The influencing factors of tool wear as for Lathe Machine

1 Hook angle increases, tool wear will decrease. If hook angle is too large,cooling conditions will deteriorate and lathe machine will become easy to wear. Relief angle increases, tool wear will decrease,too. While if relief angle is too large, cooling volume will reduce,thus increasing tool wear.

2 Cutting amount and cutting speed play a large impact on tool wear,followed by feed.

3 If workpiece has higher strength and hardness, it will need greater cutting force when cutting process. As for general purpose lathe machine, the higher cutting temperature needs, the faster the tool wear grows.
