Lathe turning processing is the most widely used in lathe processing processing technology, its main features are as follows:
1 Turning processing is easy to ensure the accuracy of machining surface. When turning, workpiece moves around a fixed axis,each surface has the same axis of rotation, thus it is easy to control and guarantee machining position accuracy.
2 Cutting process is relatively more stable. In general, turning process is continuous, unlike milling process and planing process.In the process of single pass, cutter tooth has repeatedly cut and cut out,forming a shock.When the section size is stable, cutting area and cutting force are also basically remain unchanged,thus cutting process is more stable than milling and planing process. And because the main movement of turning is rotary motion, It can avoid the effects of inertia force and shock, so turning processing allows larger cutting volume and high-speed cutting or strong cutting.
