1 Cutting tool should have a high hardness, hardness of tool material is 1.3-1.5 times higher than the hardness of the workpiece.
2 Cutting tool should have abrasive resistance .
3 Cutting tool should have heat resistance
4 Cutting tool should have sufficient strength and toughness
5 Cutting tool should have good manufacturability.
