For a Lathe Machine,the guideway is the basis of motion accuracy, Reasonably maintenance of machine tool guideway, prevent damage to the guide rail ,and maintain the accuracy of lathe machine has a very important significance.

The damage reason of Machine Tool Guideway is as follows:

1 In the relative sliding process of the guide rail, because the lubricant supply is insufficient or the lubricating oil pipe is blocked ,and it can not form the oil film between the friction surfaces,causing dry friction,thus forming damage in a short time.

2 Due to the dust or not clean the oil caused by a small hard objects or small iron chips,these hard objects or small iron chip falls into sliding surface in the relative sliding process, resulting in non-uniform wear.

3 Some of guideways are not often used. Due to inadvertent maintenance,the surface of the hard surface will occur a layer of hard and brittle oxide.Those oxide will drop and fall into guideway,causing damage to the guide rail.

4 Because of the hardness and toughness of the material is insufficient,guideway will occur plastic deformation under variable load, resulting in the damage of guideway.
